Every personality is different, and every individual has unique characteristics that drive their behaviour and impact how they communicate with them. A personality disorder is a mental disorder in which a person experiences a severe and unhealthy thought process. If a person suffers from a personality disorder, they usually experience difficulties in understanding and relating to other people and circumstances. This causes problems in developing and maintaining good relationships whether in work, school, or social life.
Many researchers believe that genetics and environmental aspects play a huge role in forming the personality disorder. Some of the studies suggest that malfunctioning genes might cause specific personality disorders, while another study connects anxiety, fear and aggression to genetics.

Specifically, Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a condition that can majorly occur after a person experiences some disturbing traumatic event. We know that trauma is a very complicated area and it affects individuals in various ways so there isn't one agreeable theory of how it works. PTSD and C-PTSD are common types of trauma.
There can be various treatment options for PTSD including talk therapy and combination of trauma modalities. PTSD is somehow different for every individual so they might require to try a few different types of treatment to find what works best for them.
For Complex PTSD sufferers, the most useful therapy is long-term psychotherapy. To understand which approach works best for you, we recommend having a discovery session with us.
